Class 4, 5 and 6 trucks. The fleet's workhorse, handled here.
Box trucks, delivery vans, work trucks, utility bodies and stake beds. ATEL handles the collision, the body, the diesel mechanical, the DPF, the paint and the fleet PM under one roof. The same building that handles your Class 8 tractors also services the medium-duty fleet that runs your last mile.
The fleet trucks regional shops don't size for.
Medium-duty sits in the gap between passenger-vehicle shops and dedicated heavy-duty facilities. A 26-foot box truck doesn't fit in a standard collision bay, but most heavy-duty shops are set up for tractor work and don't bother with Class 4–6. ATEL was built across the whole commercial range — your medium-duty fleet gets the same equipment, same diagnostic tools, and same fleet workflow as the Class 8 iron.
We work with last-mile distributors, contractors, utility providers, rental fleets, school districts and municipal operators. Box trucks, refrigerated bodies, stake beds, utility bodies and chassis cabs share the same shop floor as our heavy-duty work.

Questions we hear from customers
A few quick answers. If yours isn't here, call us or use our contact form.
What is considered a medium-duty truck?
Medium-duty refers to Class 4, 5 and 6 trucks — generally 14,001 to 26,000 lbs GVWR. This includes most box trucks, work trucks, larger utility vehicles, chassis-cab platforms and many service bodies.
Do you work on both diesel and gasoline medium-duty trucks?
Yes. We service medium-duty diesel platforms (Cummins, Detroit, PowerStroke, Duramax) and gasoline V8 and V10 chassis-cab units on the same shop floor.
Can you fit a 26-foot box truck in your paint booth?
Yes. Our 45-foot heated paint booth handles full-length box trucks, refrigerated bodies and stake beds in a single pass without masking lines.
Do you repair refrigerated truck bodies?
Yes. We handle body, insulation and door repair on refrigerated truck bodies. Refrigeration system work itself is coordinated with the unit vendor as needed.
Do you offer fleet PM for medium-duty trucks?
Yes. Medium-duty fleet PM tuned to route patterns — oil, brakes, tires, DOT inspection and aftertreatment service built into one calendar.
Do you work with utility, contractor and last-mile fleets?
Yes. We regularly support utility providers, contractors, last-mile delivery operators, rental fleets and municipal operators throughout the DMV.
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
The shop is at 12120 Conway Rd, Beltsville, MD 20705 — minutes from I-95 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Our primary service area is the DMV: Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Fleet pickup and delivery arrangements are negotiable on contract.
Your medium-duty fleet deserves a commercial shop, not a passenger-car shop.
Box trucks, work trucks and service bodies handled with the same equipment that services Class 8. Bring the truck once. Get it back ready to run the route.
