MULTI-UNIT FAB RUNS
Twenty matched brackets, ten matched bumpers, forty matched equipment mounts — built consistently across the run, one spec from first unit to last.
- Jigged production runs
- Consistent spec across units
- Batch refinish
ATEL provides in-house custom fabrication for commercial trucks, buses, motor coaches and Class A RVs — steel and aluminum welding, bumpers, brackets, body panels and vehicle modifications — across Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia.
Heavy-duty vehicles get modified. Discontinued parts need replacements. Damaged panels need patches that nobody sells. Brackets fail. Bumpers bend. A fleet wants the same equipment mount on twenty trucks. Custom fabrication is the answer to every problem that doesn't have a part number — and ATEL's fab shop sits inside the same building as collision, mechanical, paint and frame.
We work steel, aluminum and stainless. We MIG, TIG and stick weld to spec. We cut, form, fit and finish — and we paint the result in our booths so it leaves the building ready to install. From a one-off custom bumper to a 40-unit fleet bracket run, the work happens in-house.
Insurance estimators, fleet maintenance managers and owner-operators get a single point of contact for fab work. Drawings or photos on intake, written scope before fabrication starts, shop documentation on every weld.
Start an EstimateMIG, TIG and stick welding on heat-treated and mild structural steel. Bumpers, brackets, mounts and panels.
TIG welding on aluminum cab structures, bus panels, motor coach skins and trailer bodies.
Custom-cut and formed patch panels for discontinued or unavailable OEM parts.
Multi-unit fabrication runs — equipment mounts, brackets, decking — built to one spec across the fleet.
Fabricated parts primed and painted in our booths before install. Leaves the building ready.
Professional Steel, Aluminum and Custom Fabrication for Commercial Trucks, Fleets and Buses
Family-owned since 1994. Fabrication has supported our collision, mechanical and fleet work since day one — not a side service, a core capability.
Heat-treated structural steel, aluminum cab structures and composite-skinned coaches. Code-compliant joints on every weld.
Mild and structural steel, 6061 and 5052 aluminum, 304 and 316 stainless. Right material for the job, in stock or sourced quickly.
Bring us a drawing, a photo, or the broken original. We scope, fabricate, finish and deliver in-house.

Custom work needs clear scope. Here is how a fab job moves through our shop.
Drawing, photo or original part reviewed. Material spec, dimensions and finish requirements confirmed.
Written scope, material list and timeline before any work starts. Approval before fab begins.
Steel, aluminum or stainless sourced to spec. Pulled from stock where available.
Cut, form, fit and weld to spec. Certified welder and inspection at each major joint.
Primed and painted to match where applicable. Hardware, mounting points and fitment verified.
Final inspection, fitment check on the vehicle where possible, documentation. Keys hand-off or delivery.
